Fulfilling Your Purpose: Returning to the Master’s Blueprint
People spent years labeling and misshaping who you are. It’s time to throw off their drawings and let Abba show you who He actually created.
This past weekend brought immense clarity. I wrote through so much, and things I had understood only partially have now settled into my spirit with complete, uncompromising depth.
With that new level of understanding, it is no coincidence that the very next chapter before us is this: fulfilling our purpose with Elohim (God).
When we look back on our lives, we remember our innocence. As children, in our pure innocence, we wanted nothing more than to embody the gift placed within us. We could feel it stirring. We knew it was real.
“People started renaming and reshaping who we were according to what they saw, not what was divinely placed inside of us. And no one sought to go to the blueprint created by the Master to find out what He actually created.”
Then life happened. We walked through trials, tribulations, and deep traumas. Those experiences shaped our defense mechanisms, controlled our thought patterns, bred paralyzing hesitation, and created barriers to taking the true steps we were called to take.
Yet here is the good news: trauma and human error do not erase your purpose.
Pain does not diminish your true calling by even an ounce. Most people wander through life never discovering why they were created, but when we choose obedience to “Thus saith Yahweh,” everything shifts. Obedience aligns our steps so we can walk in our true calling.
What Is Obedience, and Whom Do We Serve?
To walk in obedience, we must first answer a foundational question: Whose are we?
To understand why we were created—and why we are being remade—we must return to the One who breathed life into us and surrender fully to His will. As Scripture plainly warns, you cannot serve two masters. You cannot accommodate the world—which is governed by the enemy of your faith and tailored to feed the flesh—and simultaneously serve Yahweh.
In all honesty, we have to protect ourselves. We must guard against our fleshly impulses, ungodly appetites, toxic habits, and compromising attachments. Biblically speaking, we have to crucify the flesh daily.
When YahShua (Jesus) walked the earth, the Living Word, Adonai, dwelt within Him. The Word was His sustenance; the Word was all He spoke; the Word was all He knew. Yet He told His disciples that He had to leave so the Comforter (Holy Spirit) could come, and He sat in the right hand of the Father.
In Moses’ day, the commandments were carved on cold tablets of stone. But through YahShua, the law is written on the tablets of our hearts and minds. When you receive YahShua as your Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit—the Comforter—takes up residence within you, bringing the Word back to your remembrance.
That means we have a responsibility: we must study the Word so that we can digest the Word.
The Comforter cannot bring to remembrance what you never bothered to read and internalize. But when you hide His Word in your heart, the Holy Spirit brings it forth at the exact moment you need strength to overcome temptation, fear, and fatigue. When YahShua declared that we would do greater works, it was because the Holy Spirit dwells within us, empowering us to walk in total alignment with the Father’s will.
Throwing Off the Misshapen Layers
Walking in this empowerment requires a ruthless letting go.
- Every misshapen thing someone forced on you in childhood? Throw it off.
- Every ungodly doctrine or counterfeit teaching you sat under that contradicted the Word of Elohim (God)? Throw it off.
- Every defense mechanism, toxic tendency, and compromise born out of trauma? Throw it off.
You cannot abide in the shadow of the Almighty while submitting to man’s will and the flesh’s cravings. Yahweh is a jealous God; He will not share His throne with your compromises.
The very first step toward true obedience is to cast down every thought that dares to contradict who God says you are.
The Lesson of the Snoodlepuffs
There is a beloved VeggieTales animated story called A Snoodle’s Tale (featuring the little Snoodle named Bob)—a message so profound that I often have my coaching clients sit down and watch it.
In this story, a little Snoodle was small and different. He didn’t look like the others, and no matter what he tried, the other Snoodles mocked him. They painted cruel, ugly pictures of him, put them in a heavy pack on his back, and told him he was foolish and worthless. The weight of their opinions grew so crushing that he decided to climb the highest, steepest mountain to isolate himself and hide away forever.
When he finally dragged his weary body to the highest peak, he encountered his Creator.
The little Snoodle was terrified. He clutched his heavy bag and cried out that he didn’t want any more art. His pack was already bursting with heavy pictures that were destroying his spirit.
The Creator looked at those hateful sketches, shook His head gently, and said: “That is not who you are.”
The Creator took out a clean canvas and painted a true portrait of the little Snoodle. He showed him that what comes from the Master’s hand does not burden, wound, or weigh him down. His design lifts, enlightens, and propels him straight into his divine destiny. When the Creator emptied the heavy baggage of the world’s opinions and placed His own portrait in the little Snoodle’s hands, the little one stood tall, completely unburdened and full of purpose.
YahShua told us:
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me… For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28–30)
Step Out of Man’s Opinion and into Abba’s Will
When we cast off this world’s condemnation, others’ impossible expectations, and the false identities forced on us, our hands are free to take hold of what Yahweh ordained from the foundation of the world.
Stop worrying about what people say about you. Stop letting unhealed people define your calling.
Do what Abba tells you to do. Every instruction He gives—no matter how foolish or strange it may seem to the outside world. His instructions are designed to empower you, illuminate your path, and bring you into full, victorious obedience.
